My Igbo name is "Chiemeka", or "Emeka" for short.
I'm a graduate student at Northeastern University, where I'm pursuing a master's degree in computer science. Through my studies, I have developed a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design, enabling me to think about complex problems in simple, abstract terms.
Prior to my arrival at Northeastern, I graduated from Stony Brook University in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and worked for a few years in the heavy civil construction industry as a civil engineer.
Now, as a student technologist, I'm excited about applying my unique perspective and technical skills to building meaningful digital experiences. Currently, I'm learning web development and find myself fascinated by how tools and services built on the web simplify and enable large-scale information sharing and collaboration.
A bot that tweets periodic CPU temperature updates from a raspberrypi, alerting you of excessive readings
A Java desktop application where travelers can share destination reviews
A digital brand that celebrates the global experience of the Igbo people through research and storytelling
These days, when I'm not writing code or studying, I enjoy: reading, making amateur films, traveling, learning new languages, taking scenic walks, eating, cooking, and connecting with family and friends.x
In the near future, I'll be sharing my thoughts on Medium. Follow me.
